Fall Planting

Fall Planting is on!  As we wrapped up the season we had a few stragglers that were not sold. These were moved to a new location which will free up more easy-to-water space closer to the house.

One half row of mystery darks
Two rows of mystery daylilies - could be anything

The new planting area has improved soil but it is still acidic from the nearby pine trees. Instead of fighting this I've chosen to just work with it. Once the area is cleared of this summer's produce I will bring in wood chips and pine needles to keep the weeds down and create pathways.
